Course Overview:
This qualification reflects the role of individuals in the community, home, or residential care setting who work under supervision and delegation as part of a multidisciplinary team, following an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require it due to ageing, disability, or other reasons.
These individuals take responsibility for their outputs within the scope of their job role and delegation. Workers have a range of factual, technical, and procedural knowledge and theoretical knowledge of the concepts and practices required to provide person-centred support.

DURATION:
Entry Requirements
- Age – at least 18 years of age.
- Technology skills – As the course is delivered in a blended mode where a student needs to access all learning and assessment resources through our online learning portal, we expect students to:
- Own or have ready access to a computer or laptop in good working condition.
- should know the basic knowledge of operating the computers and completing work online
- should have high-speed internet connectivity
- should know about downloading & uploading documents
- should have a willingness to learn
- Language, Literacy, and Numeracy—A preliminary test assesses the applicant’s LLN skills at admission. Students who fulfil the minimum requirements are given admission at Hope Training College of Australia; others will be given a chance to improve and reappear for the Language, Literacy, and Numeracy test.
- Physical requirement—Due to this industry’s physical nature and this course’s requirements, the student must be physically fit. We may ask the student to operate some of the equipment before enrolment.
- A government-issued national photo ID, e.g., Passport, DL, etc.
- The student must not hold an international student visa or any other type of visa that prohibits them from enrolling in an RTO that offers training to domestic students only.
- Commitment to completing the mandatory 120 hours of practical work placement (unpaid).
- Unique Student Identifier (USI)—The student must obtain and supply a USI, which can be obtained from usi.gov.au. If a USI is not supplied and verified with usi.gov.au, a certificate cannot be issued to the student.
