Entry Requirements
Enrolment Conditions are:
- Age – at least 18 years of age.
- Technology skills – As the course is delivered in a blended mode where a student needs to access all learning and assessment resources through our online learning portal, we expect students to:
- Own or have ready access to a computer or laptop in good working condition. If you do not have a computer, our ready-to-use computer room is available to meet your needs. You can access them at any time during business hours to complete your course.
- Should know the basic knowledge of operating computers and completing work online. If you are willing to learn the basics of computing, our staff will provide training before you begin your learning journey. Please note that your course duration will be affected if you choose this option.

- Language, Literacy, and Numeracy—A preliminary test assesses the applicant’s LLN skills at admission. Students who fulfil the minimum requirements are given admission at Hope Training College of Australia; others will be given a chance to improve and reappear for the Language, Literacy, and Numeracy test.
- Physical Requirements—Due to the industry’s physical nature and the course’s requirements, students must be physically fit. We may ask the student to operate some of the equipment before enrolment.
- A government-issued national photo ID, e.g., Passport, DL, etc.
- The student must not hold an international student visa or any other type of visa that prohibits them from enrolling in an RTO that offers training exclusively to domestic students.
- Commitment to completing the mandatory 120 hours of practical work placement (unpaid).
- Unique Student Identifier (USI)—The student must obtain and supply a USI, which can be obtained from usi.gov.au. If a USI is not provided and verified with usi.gov.au, a certificate cannot be issued to the student.
Documents Required before going to Work Placement
- National Police Check: to be completed at your own expense.
- DCSI Screening: required for South Australian students only.
- NDIS Screening Check: necessary for all candidates.
- COVID-19 Vaccination: a minimum of two doses is required.
- Flu Vaccination: Full vaccination is necessary.
- Completion of some online self-learning short courses as directed by the host facility (e.g., hand hygiene).

LEARNING RESOURCES:
The learning journey consists of several stages:
- Book Reading: This stage involves students spending time reading books.
- Online (Zoom) Sessions: Here, students participate in discussions and learning activities through live Zoom conferences guided by our skilled trainers or teachers.
- Video Watch: At this stage, students can watch training videos independently.
- Classroom (In-person): This stage includes in-person learning on campus, allowing for direct engagement with our trainers and assessors.
- Vocational Work Placement: In this final stage, students complete a vocational work placement for 120 hours, gaining hands-on experience under the supervision of industry professionals.
In addition to these stages, students are also allocated hours for self-research and self-study. The college will provide a detailed training plan for each stage to ensure a smooth and practical learning experience.
